Technology Transfer

Both starting and advancing successful technology ventures pose a number of challenges to all entrepreneurs. PhD students and postdocs need to acquire some extracurricular knowledge in order to transfer their scientific developments into commercially successful ventures.

Challenge: the traditional scientific education provides very little information on how to start and run a business.

Our solution to this challenge is a modular training program designed for universities, polytechnics and business schools: "Idea to IPO".

It provides scientists, doctors and engineers with hands-on advice on how to start and develop a business. Subject matters from strategy development to implementation are taught pragmatically and focused on the clients' needs. From the creative process and ideas generation to market readiness it covers the following subjects:

Intellectual property and legal aspects

Business potential

(scientific due diligence, market due diligence, market segmentation, competitive analysis)

Business financing

(structuring business plans, venture capital funds, conditions and valuation, business exit strategies: IPO, acquisition or disinvestment)

Business development

(developing negotiation and other communication skills, project management and project controlling for efficient product development processes, building effective multidisciplinary teams)

Technology marketing

(developing pharmaceuticals / medical devices, product launches, lifecycle management, marketing parameters and plans)

Please contact us if you are interested in our solutions. We will be glad to respond to enquiries concerning modular courses or single seminars on the above listed topics. Technology ventures visit the pages for further information on the incubator.
